Ten days ago a Fonterra tanker was attacked by boy racers and one of them has appeared in court for damaging the milk tanker during the incident near Huntly. The 18-year-old, made a brief appearance in the Hamilton District Court facing three charges after an alleged confrontation between a group of boy racers and a milk tanker on Orini Rd ten days ago. CCTV footage showed hundreds of litres of milk being emptied from the tanker after a valve was allegedly released during the incident. A hammer was allegedly used to smash the truck’s windscreen.
