Brent Kleiss is to be the new chief executive of NZPork, working to support New Zealand’s commercial pig farmers. Brent joined NZPork as Policy Manager last July. Before that he spent 13 years with the MPI as principal advisor and was in a Chief Quarantine Officer role at MPI for five years. NZ Pork Chair Eric Roy says his challenge will be the significant reform associated with farrowing crates and mating stalls and the environment. He takes over the role in early May.
