Since the outset of the Covid-19 pandemic, businesses across New Zealand and around the world have been affected by supply chain disruptions. Many farmers are facing delivery delays on new machinery with Norwood’s Leader of customer relations, Philippa Dawe warning farmers that they need to plan for delays. She says with a buoyant New Zealand primary sector creating increased demand for machinery then coming up against the impact of disruptions at the factory. Norwoods say record sales and supply chain issues mean some stock is currently in short supply. Philippa Dawe says Norwoods always works with long lead times to get products from factory to Norwood and then to customers, but the usual six to seven months is stretching out to 12 months for some products. Her simple message for farmers who may have a new machine in mind is if you can, order ahead.
