A staggering 33,853 headed to Fieldays on Day 2 to check out our 1,000 different exhibitors showcasing the best of New Zealand agriculture. The best year for the event was 2017 when a record total 133,588 people went through the gates – over the four days. The weather has been generally kind although rain is expected on Saturday… the day the townies descend on the National Fieldays. More than 29,000 people entered through the gates on Day One which is an increase of 10 per cent from day one for the last live event back in 2019. Federated Farmers National President Andrew Hoggard says it has been very busy on the Feds Stand and they’ve signed up a lot of new members. He says farmers have been very keen to chat about what is troubling them.
