Next week there’s a joint New Zealand and Ireland Pasture Summit forum, looking at whether pasture is still the way forward. The forum runs over two days from next Wednesday and sessions will be live linked to the Irish venue. Dairy Farmers can go in person to the Claudelands Event Centre, Hamilton, or go online for the discussions. Chair Colin Armer says the forum will focus on whether grass is still the best way forward, from both an Irish and New Zealand perspective – emphasising current consumer preferences and the global environmental footprint. Speakers include top scientists, exporters and farmers from both countries, as well as global food company, Nestlé. The pasture Summit is run by a group of farmers and dairy sector experts and you can find out more by visiting pasturesummit.co.nz
