Rural personality farming advocate and Country TV contributor Craig “Wiggy” Wiggins has been named the 35th winner of the Ravensdown Agricultural Communicator of the Year award. The award honours important contributions to the agricultural community, by using their skills to communicate issues, events and information relevant to the sector. Craig Wiggins is a farmer, horse trainer, commentator, announcer, and MC based near Ashburton. He hosts his “Whatever with Wiggy” Zoom forum for farmers each Thursday to engage with industry leaders and politicians and discuss issues of importance to the agricultural community. The Judges say Craig facilitates farmers and rural people to keep up with new farm and freshwater regulations, asks the hard questions of their representatives and promotes rural mental health.
