Former National Leader And Opposition Agriculture Spokesperson Todd Muller Is Retiring From Politics

Former National leader and Opposition Agriculture Spokesperson Todd Muller is retiring from politics. Todd Muller has has spoken publicly about his mental health after a brief spell as the party’s leader and says the time is right for him to retire. He says he will not contest the next election and cant recommit to giving the National Party nor his BOP community another full three-year term. He says he can’t deny it is a very hard decision. Todd Muller has been the MP for Bay of Plenty since the 2014 election, and most recently held the Agriculture and Climate Change portfolios. Party Leader Christopher Luxon says Todd McClay will take over Agriculture and Simon Watts would pick up Climate Change.
