Waikato Farmer And Businesswoman Jenni Vernon Is The First Woman President Of The National Fieldays Trust In The Organization’s 55-Year History

Waikato farmer and businesswoman Jenni Vernon is the first woman president of the National Fieldays trust in the organization’s 55-year history. Jenni farms a dry stock unit in partnership with her husband Gordon and son Simon, at Te Akatea, in northwest Waikato. She has been on the board for the past 10 years and been vice president for the past 3 years. She was the first woman to become a Nuffield Scholar and takes over from outgoing President James Allen, who has been in the role for three years. She says with just over 80 days until Fieldays 2023, some new events coming to Mystery Creek and some exciting plans for the future, there is plenty to do.
