The weather was fine on the first two days of Fieldays but the figures are down on pre pandemic years. A total of 105,000 came through the gates over the four days…well down on the record years where numbers were around 135,000. To mitigate that though is the fact that the last Fieldays event was just six months ago attracting 75,000 people. Fieldays CEO Peter Nation says in the face of economic and regulatory changes ahead for the primary sector, there was still a profound spirit of camaraderie and buoyancy and being in Winter it had a different feel to the audience at end of the last year. Putting a typically glass half full approach, Peter Nation says adding the 75,000 that came through in November, to the 105,000 last week means Fieldays attracted more than 170,000 to Fieldays in the last 12 months.
