Sheep farmers are being asked to supply samples of Ewe Poo as part of a facial eczema trial. The disease costs the sheep beef dairy and deer sectors $332 million every year. It effects sheep liver health and production and is incurable. Beef + Lamb NZ Strategy Manager Dr Suzie Keeling says the three year study they need 350 sheep farmers to collect 16 samples a year between October and May. Facial Eczema is a costly disease and is unique to NZ.
