Claas the machinery giant is making a giant machine available in the high horsepower tractor market. Its the slightly out of this world futuristic looking XERION 12 series. The machine packs a super-efficient 653 horsepower engine, 914mm tracks, updated hydraulics and a new luxury cabin with four-point suspension. Product manager Paul Holdaway, says the new series is the result of six years of research and development and 10,000 hours of field testing across five countries. The Xerion 12 is currently the most powerful four-wheel drive tracked tractor on the market. It is a wee while away with New Zealand growers having to wait until at least 2025 before the new series lands in this country, due to anticipated in the North American and European markets.
