The National Party plans to “turbocharge the primary sector” to help double trade exports over the next decade. The party’s trade policy was announced at a Marlborough winery yesterday. National leader Chris Luxon was on a whirlwind visit to the top of the south on Tuesday and was joined at Forrest Wines in Renwick by trade spokesperson Todd McClay. McClay announced the trade policy, which the party says would rebuild the economy. National would “aggressively” pursue Free Trade Agreements and make India a key trade priority, McClay said.
