The only plug-in ute currently offered in New Zealand, LDV’s fully electric eT60 now a lot cheaper. Normally priced from $79,990, the eT60’s retail price has been slashed by $7,015 to $72,975 not including on-road costs with the additional $7,015 Clean Car Discount rebate it takes it down to $65,960. Considering that a large percentage of eT60 sales are to company fleets, customers are likely to take GST and fringe benefit tax off this final price, too. The price only applies until the end of this month, October 31. It is the only EV ute on the market with Toyota’s Hilux Hybrid set to land in either late 2023 or early 2024, and Ford’s plug-in hybrid Ranger PHEV is slated to arrive in early 2025. Now Isuzu has revealed it is developing an electric ute. It is expected to be based on the D-Max, and will launch in 2025. It could possibly bear the ‘E-Max’ badge to differentiate it from the diesel-powered D-Max.
