Canterbury grain growers are eager to put last season’s dismal harvest behind them and are hopeful of a much better cropping result over the next few months. Federated Farmers Arable industry Chair Colin Hurst says it is early days yet for the harvest, but initial yields are promising on the back of high grain and seed prices.
