One of the first big announcements of the field days today is Prime Minister Chris Hipkins ruling out a tax on fertiliser. Hipkins says he doesn’t support a broad based tax that doesn’t provide the nuances that are inherent in He Waka eke Noa. He told the crowd at the Fieldays that details still have to be worked through but they’re close to landing something they believe will work.
