There’s a need for 150 vets in the country and the hardest positions to fill are often in rural areas. Vet Staff Recruitment Agency founder Julie South a few tweaks in the working holiday visa rules could make the world of difference. She says currently those visas are only available for those under 35 but if that age limit was scrapped many more older overseas vets would come to NZ as part of a working holiday.
